The last election had some positive outcomes for conservatives in Minnesota, and nationally. We have gained conservative control of the MN House. And have elected President Trump to lead us in our battle to save our country. What we have seen is that there is a need for local involvement in order to drive a clear, winning agenda for our candidates. We ran two excellent candidates in Owen Michaelson (50A) and Bob Gust (50B). They ran strong campaigns, and forced the democrats to focus on keeping these seats, instead of allowing them to use these resources for other elections. This is a WIN for our senate district!
Here is where you come in. It is time for us to show up for our neighbors and friends. Not to simply complain about the state of affairs, but to show up and connect and help to build the future of this Senate District. The days of “hoping” that things will work out are over. We need to act, and we need to act now.
The Senate District 50 Convention shall be composed of the delegates and alternates elected at the precinct caucuses in February of 2024 currently living within the boundaries of House Districts 50A and 50B. If you are no longer living in House District 50A or 50B, please notify Sarah Knapp at sd50mngop@icloud.com or 612-270-0034.
The Senate District Convention shall be held for the purpose of:
Election of Officers of the Senate District 50 Executive Committee for two-year terms: 2 Co-Chairs, 10 Vice Chairs (4 from 50A, 4 from 50B and 2 from either House District), Treasurer, Secretary, and Communications Chair.
Election of Delegates, First Alternates, Second Alternates, and Third Alternates to the State Central Committee.
An update on SD 50 Recall Efforts of SD 50A Rep Julie Greene and SD 50B Rep Steve Elkins.
Transaction of such other business as may properly come before the convention.
We have created a 2025 Convention page on our website. This has registration and location information. www.sd50gop.com
